New Applicants

Due to closure in near future we currently do not accept any new applications.

​Children can start at Cottontails at the beginning of the term after they have turned 2. Applications for places can be made up to a year in advance using our new child application form.
​
"For places from the start of Spring Term 2020 application forms need to be received by 11th November. Applications received after this date will need to start slightly later in the term. Thank you"

A
pplications will be acknowledged within 14 days of receipt and held on file. Offers of places and hours of attendance will be provided at least 6 weeks in advance of the start of term. Places will need to be accepted in writing, in accordance with the allocations timetable.

Our fees

We accept children at Cottontails from the start of the term after they turn two.
​ For all children not yet eligible for Early Years Funding and for any hours attended at Cottontails above their funded hours, the hourly rate is £4.85 per hour for 3 and 4 year olds and £5.25 for two year olds. The age of the child will be taken as their age on the first day of term or on the day they start at Cottontails, whichever is later.

30 hours free child care
​The table below shows when your child will become eligible for their free early learning funding.

It is our intention to make Cottontails Pre-school accessible to all pre-school aged children in Girton. We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the setting through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures.
Government funding offers 15 hours free early learning and childcare for 3 and 4 year olds for 38 weeks per year and from September 2017, 30 hours for eligible children.

They are eligible from:

1 April and 31 August
1 September following their third birthday until statutory school age

1 September and 31 December
1 January following their third birthday until statutory school age

1 January and 31 March
1 April following their third birthday until statutory school age

2 year olds funding

We also have a limited number of places for funded two year olds, who can have up to 15 hours of free early learning and childcare. Information on whether you are eligible for 2 year old funding is given on the Government website.  You can apply for Government funding for your two year old on the Cambridgeshire County Council website. If you are successful, or would like further details on the process, please contact Cottontails.
