Director In Training
Niaijah Honeycutt
Ms. Aijah serves as Director in Training at Cottontails Preschool and brings over 10 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education. She holds a CDA in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Psychology, with extensive experience working with children from young toddlers through school age. She is also currently completing additional education credits in Early Childhood Education as she works toward becoming a qualified Director.
She is passionate about being a positive role model for both children and educators and believes that open communication and strong partnerships between families and the school are essential to each child’s growth and success. As she continues developing her leadership skills, she is dedicated to creating a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
Outside of school, Ms. Aijah enjoys spending quality time with her son, painting, and listening to music.

Lead Teacher
Tanuja Hasan
Ms. Tanuja is our Hopping Scholars Lead Teacher and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with specialized training in infant care. She is also a licensed teacher.
She believes that the first year of a child’s life is foundational for brain, social, and emotional development, and she is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners. She looks forward to building trusting relationships with both children and families to support each child’s earliest milestones.

Lead Teacher
Kenzie Perry
Ms. Kenzie is our Lead Teacher and is passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and explore through age-appropriate curriculum and play. She brings warmth and enthusiasm to the classroom every day. She is currently working toward earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential to expand her knowledge and professional skills in early childhood education.
Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, road trips, diamond painting, music, and spending time with family and friends.

Mandarin Teacher
April Yang
Ms. April brings a rich multicultural perspective to Cottontails, having lived in both China and Japan before making North Carolina her home. She is also a Master’s graduate in Language Learning, bringing advanced knowledge and experience in language development and multicultural education.
Her diverse background and personal experience as a mother deeply inform her approach to early childhood education. She is passionate about introducing children to different cultures and languages while creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, walking in local parks, and exploring new cultures through food and stories.

Lead Teacher
Ms. Brittany brings 12 years of experience in early childhood education to Cottontails and has a true passion for supporting children as they learn and grow. She is also continuing her education by earning additional Early Childhood Education credits to further advance her knowledge and expertise in the field.
She enjoys creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, loved, and encouraged to explore. She believes each child is unique and deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care. Her favorite part of teaching is watching children reach new milestones and seeing their personalities blossom.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Brittany enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with the children and families at Cottontails.
