Nancy Lee

Ms. Nancy is the Director of Cottontails Preschool, bringing several years of experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. She is deeply committed to providing the highest quality care and continues to expand her knowledge in the field of early childhood education. She believes that exposing children to diverse cultures from an early age fosters independence, self-esteem, and resilience. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling internationally, road trips, music, and movies.

Niaijah Honeycutt

Ms. Aijah serves as Assistant Director at Cottontails Preschool and brings over 10 years of experience in childcare. She holds a CDA in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Psychology, with a specialization in young toddlers through school-age children. She is passionate about being a positive role model and believes that open communication and strong partnerships between home and school are key to each child's success. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her son, painting, and listening to music.

 Tanuja Hasan

Ms. Tanuja is our Lead Infant Teacher and holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with specialized training in infant care. She believes that the first year of a child's life is foundational for brain, social, and emotional development, and she is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners. She looks forward to building trusting relationships with both children and families to support each child's earliest milestones.

Kenzie Perry

Ms. Kenzie is our Lead Young Toddler Teacher and is passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and explore through age-appropriate curriculum and play. She brings warmth and enthusiasm to the classroom every day. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, road trips, diamond painting, music, and spending time with family and friends.

April Yang

Ms. April brings a rich multicultural perspective to Cottontails, having lived in both China and Japan before making North Carolina her home. Her diverse background and personal experience as a mother deeply inform her approach to early childhood education, and she is passionate about introducing children to different cultures and languages. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, walking in local parks, and exploring new cultures through food and stories.

Amrita Griggs

Ms. Amrita serves as a 2's Room Lead Teacher at Cottontails Preschool and is fluent in Thai and Spanish, adding a valuable multilingual dimension to our team. She is passionate about encouraging children to express themselves creatively and to embrace their individuality. Outside of school, she enjoys music, writing, anime, gaming, and knitting.

Makailah Burns 

Ms. Makailah is a valued member of our team, joining us as a Floater Teacher during summer and winter breaks each year. She brings consistency and familiarity to our children and staff, and we are grateful for her continued dedication to Cottontails Preschool.
